When you arrive at this stage of your planning, you may appreciate some much needed assistance. This is why I have given you 3 of my top helpful tips for your wedding cake.
Think about your budget
Tall cakes, fondant iced cakes, elaborate designs and sugar flowers all look beautiful, but it also comes at a cost. If cost is a factor in your decision, you may want to consider some alternatives. Instead of sugar flowers you can have fresh flowers. Rather than have every tier in cake, some can be ‘fake’ dummy tiers. Dummy tiers are a great way to add height and grandeur to your cake design. Please note that although it will help reduce costs, the amount is minimal. They will still have to be decorated in harmony with the rest of your cake design.
Choose the flavours you like
It is so important to make sure that you are happy with your cake flavours. Choose the cake flavours that you like and not what everyone else wants. If you still cannot decide after trying out our Cake Tasting Boxes, choose a flavour for each tier. That is a sure way to have variety and keep your guests happy at the same time.
Consider your cake design after you’ve made wedding style decisions
Think about your cake design once you have decided on the main elements of your wedding such as the venue, wedding dress, colour scheme and flowers. This really helps to create a cake that will compliment your style.
I hope you found these wedding cake tips helpful. However, in the end, it is your wedding. Every decision you make should be one that would make you both happy. Yes, there is nothing wrong in wanting your guests to be happy too (after all they are sharing the day with you), but it should not be at the cost of your own happiness. When you look back on this special moment, it should be filled with pleasant memories
