How long have you been in business?
I have been in business, baking and decorating cakes since 2013
Are you a registered business?
Yes. I am registered as a food business with the borough of Southwark since 2013 and have a level 5 Food Standards hygiene rating. I hold a Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate and have successfully completed a Food Allergy Awareness course.
How are your cakes priced?
There are many factors affecting the cost of our cakes, some of which include the cost of ingredients, delivery and the time taken and skill employed to make your bespoke cake look and taste amazing.
How far in advance do I need to order?
At least 1 month’s notice for celebration cakes and 3 month’s notice for wedding cakes. At times we may be able to accommodate orders at shorter notice depending on our schedule, so please contact us to discuss.
Do you offer cake tastings?
Cake tastings are conducted together with your Cake Consultation, which is booked by appointment for fully iced fondant cakes and buttercream iced cakes of 3 tiers or more and costs £30. They are not conducted for celebration cakes, naked or semi-naked cakes. However, you do have the option of ordering one of our delicious Cake Tasting boxes so that you can still sample our cakes and make sure that you are happy with your choice. Cake Tasting boxes cost £30
Can I have different flavours?
Yes. We offer a variety of different flavours to choose from on our menu, and any combination of these can be used for any one of your tiers.
Can I have fresh flowers on my cake?
You can definitely have fresh flowers on your cake. These can be sourced for you as long as they are food safe, or we can liaise with your florist to provide flowers at your venue on the day of your cake delivery and assemble everything on site.
Do you hire out cake stands and other equipment?
We do have some beautiful cake stands and cake knife sets available for hire. There is a hire fee + a refundable security deposit that is required in advance and at the time of booking. The security deposit is refunded to you in full upon safe return of the hired equipment, provided it has not suffered any damage.
How do I make payment?
Once you have decided on the cake you like, an invoice will be sent to you via email with details of your order and information on how to make payment. We accept payment via Paypal, cheque and bank transfer.
Do I need to put down a deposit?
All deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable and are due within 7 days of receiving the deposit invoice.

How do I store my cake?
Buttercream cakes can be left out at room temperature if eaten within 3 days. It should be stored in a cake box or suitable container to keep it fresh. You can also put it in the fridge to prolong the life span, but ensure it is covered so that the cake does not dry out or absorb any odours from other food.
Fondant iced cakes do not do well in the fridge, because they tend to sweat and build up condensation on the surface, so they too can be left out at room temperature for up to 4 days stored in a cake box, suitable container or simply covered in foil.
If your cake contains any perishable ingredients such as fresh cream, fruit fillings, cream cheese, or any other ingredient that should be chilled, it must be kept in the fridge and eaten as soon as possible.
Can I freeze my cake?
Personally, we believe that cake should not hang around waiting to be eaten, but yes your cake can be frozen. Remove any loose decorations and ribbon from your cake and place in the freezer uncovered for about 4 hours or until completely frozen. Remove from the freezer and wrap securely with plastic wrap and a couple of layers of foil to prevent freezer burn.
Stored like this, a buttercream cake will keep in the freezer for up to 1 month and a fondant iced cake up to 3 months. A day before you are ready to serve, loosen the plastic wrap and foil and allow the cake to defrost in the fridge.
If you have any other questions, that have not been answered in this post, please do not hesitate to ask by dropping us an email or giving us a call.
