You have booked a cake tasting and consultation with us, but how do you get the most out of your visit? I have put together some of our most frequently asked questions to help, and why not check out our blog post "What to expect at a Cake Consultation" for more ways on how to prepare for your consultation.
How soon before my wedding will my cake be baked?
Your cake will usually be baked during the week of your wedding. If it is a fruit cake, it will be baked at least 6 weeks before to allow the cake and flavour to mature. Click here for a countdown to your wedding
Who and where will my cake be baked?
I bake all of the cakes that I am commissioned to do from my home kitchen in Peckham, South-East London
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. I am registered as a food business with the borough of Southwark and fully trained in Food Safety & Hygiene. I have been inspected by the Food Standards Agency and have been issued with the highest result for an inspection (please click here for further details). In addition, I have Public and Product Liability Insurance cover.
When is my cake deposit due and how much is it?
Your cake deposit is due as soon as you have decided to choose Beez Cakes as your cake maker as it will secure your date. The deposit is £100 and non-refundable.
When does my cake order have to be paid in full?
Once you have paid your deposit of £100, the remaining balance will be due 4 weeks before the wedding.
What is your refund policy?
All deposits/ booking fees are non-refundable. All cancellations must be made in writing. A full refund will be issued for any money paid (except the deposit) if you cancel your order up to 4 weeks before the wedding. Cancellations made within 28 days of the wedding will not be entitled to a refund.
